Plain-English summary

  • We don't sell your data.
  • Your videos and reports are stored encrypted and accessible via your unique status URL.
  • We use Vercel Analytics (anonymous) and basic server logs for diagnostics.
  • You can request deletion of any inspection at any time.

What we collect

When you upload an inspection video we receive: the file itself, its filename and size, and the timestamps of the upload and processing job. If you sign up for an account in the future, we will also receive your email address.

Our hosting provider (Vercel) records standard request logs (IP address, user agent, path) for the purposes of operating and securing the service. Vercel Analytics records anonymous page-view data (no cookies, no fingerprinting).

How we use it

Videos you upload are processed by an automated pipeline that produces an annotated MP4 and a PDF report. The output is stored alongside the source in private encrypted object storage and is accessible via the unique status URL returned to you at upload time.

Retention

Inspections are retained while we operate the service. You can request deletion of any inspection at any time by emailing hello@sewerinspection.org with the job URL, and we'll remove the source video, annotated output, and report from object storage.

Third-party services we rely on

  • Vercel — hosts the website and serverless functions (US region).
  • Linode Object Storage — encrypted S3-compatible storage for source videos, annotated outputs, and PDF reports.
  • Neon — managed Postgres database for job metadata.

Your rights

You may request deletion of any job and its associated assets at any time. If you are a resident of California, the EU, or another jurisdiction granting additional data rights, those rights apply.
